(Waipio Valley Restriction)
Following are the proposed amendments that would be included under draft 2 of Section 2 of the
subject bill.
1. Change (2)(A) to read:
(A) Restricted to all-wheel drive vehicles only.
2. Change (2)(B) to read:
(B) Any vehicle with a gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) of more
than ten thousand pounds shall not travel on this road. This
restriction shall not be applicable to utility, emergency or delivery
vehicles providing services to business establishments and residents
in Waipio Valley.
3. Change (2)(C) to read:
(C) Vehicle shall be engaged in all-wheel drive mode.
4. Change (2)(1?) to read:
(E) These restrictions shall be lifted during emergencies as may be
declared by the office of civil defense.
We can submit draft 2 to the Council for ls` reading or the Council can defer and we can
resubmit draft 2 with these and other changes, as needed.
