Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution No. 90-0 l ,reports as follows:
Resolution No. 90-01, transmitted by Director of Finance William T. Takaba, via
Communication No. 24l ,dated May 29, 2001, authorizes the acceptance of a donation from the
Kamehameha Schools' Hamakua preschool facility.
The Kamehameha Schools' Hamakua preschool facility has graciously donated $50 to the
Department of Parks ~ Recreation for the Pana`cwa Rainforest Zoo. The aforementioned
donation will be used for programs at the zoo.
Pursuant to Article XIII, Section 13-12, Hawaii County Charter, the Council, on behalf of the
County, may accept gifts or donations of personal property.
Resolution No. 90-O1, Draft 2 was referred to Your Committee via Communication No. 241.1,
dated June 15, 2001, from Director of Finance William T. Takaba, which increases the :donation
from $50 to $90.
A letter of appreciation will be sent to Ms. Rosanna Matsuyama, Kamehameha Schools, P.O.
Box 362, Pa`auilo, Hawaii 96776, acknowledging this generous donation.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Resolution No. 90-01,
Draft 2, and recommends its adoption.
