Dear Chairman Arakaki and Council Members:
It is my pleasure to nominate Douglas L. Halsted to the County of Hawaii Liquor
Control Adjudication Board, to fill the vacancy created by Leinaala B. Enos,
whose term expired on December 31, 2000.
Mr. Halsted represents Council District 4, and is a 42-year resident of Hawaii. He
is aself-employed attorney who desires to do public service to the community.
Mr. Halsted is the chair for the Hawaii Photo Expo 2001, and has served as the
secretary for the Film Club, a Mock Trial Coach for Waiakea High School and a
volunteer at Divorce Clinics. He states that he is not affiliated with any political
party, and if confirmed will serve a term to expire on December 31, 2005.
