WH~IREAS, the Pana`ewa Hawaiian Home Lands Community Association has donated $1200
to the Department of Parks and Recreation's Recreation Division; to provide additional recreational
activities and classes for its community members; especially the keikis at the Pana`ewa Park;
WH~R~AS, Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter provides that the
Council, on behalf of the County, may accept gifts or donations of personal property; and
WH~R~AS, the Department of Parks & Recreation recommends the acceptance of this
donation.
NOW, THEftEI'OI~~, IT I~ESOLV~® SY THE COUNCIL OP THE COUNTY OF HAWAII
that in accordance with Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter, the Council of the
County of Hawaii accepts the $1200.

Pana'ewa Hawaiian Home Lands Community Association, 51 Pilipa'a Street, Hilo, Hawaii 96720,
acknowledging this generous donation.
