RE: Fruit-irradiation plant
My name is Jerome Akasaki and I am a farmer who is in support
of a fruit-irradiation plant in Hilo.
United Nation agencies such as the World Health Organization,
Food and Agriculture Organization, International Atomic Agency,
and even government agencies such as the USDA and FDA, and the
U. S. Public Health Service support the safety of irradiated
fruits.
I find that having a irradiation plant in Hilo far outweighs
the statements made by the opposition.
