Dear Chairman Arakaki and Council Members:
Mayor Kim's nominee for the Hawaii County Transportation Commission,
Ms. Beverly N. Chrisman, has a commitment from July 29 through
August 4, 2001. She will not be able to appear before Committee or Council
during this period for confirmation. (Originally scheduled for Committee Meeting,
August 1, 2001).
I would like to request that Ms. Chrisman's committee confirmation be postponed
until the next scheduled Committee Meeting on August 14, 2001, or rescheduled
as you may deem proper.
Attached is the communication I received from Ms. Chrisman regarding her prior
commitment.
