The purpose of this bulletin is to transmit Program Year (PY) 2001 allocations for
programs under Title I of the Workforce Investment Act (WIA).

The PY 2001 funding allotments for WIA Title I programs were transmitted to the State
in USDOL's Training and employment Guidance Letter No. 12-00. These funds must
be distributed in accordance with the WIA statute and the WIA State Plan for Hawaii.
The PY 2001 allotments are as follows: r

The Youth, Adult, and Dislocated Worker grant funds allocated to each local area will
be contracted to the mayor of each county as the local grant recipient for WIA.

Grant recipients should use the allocations for their respective areas to prepare the
program activities and administration budgets for the WIA annual plan. Instructions for
preparing the annual plan will be forthcoming.
