Dear Chairman Arakaki and Council Members:
It is my pleasure to nominate Ms. Susan T. Sulprizio of Council District 5 to the
Hawaii County Pension Board. Ms. Sulprizio is a 21-year resident of Hawaii and
works at the Pahoa Elementary School at the Parent Community Networking
Center and is also with the School Parent Involvement Association. She serves
as the Vice President of Programs for the Hawaii State Parent Teacher Student
Association (PTSA) and is the President of the Na Ali`i (Pahoa Elementary)
PTSA. Also, she assists with the American Lung Association's Hawaii Asthma
Camp. Ms. Sulprizio states that she is a member of the Democratic Party. If
confirmed, she will serve a term to expire on December 31, 2005. She will fill a
vacancy created by the expiration of Ms. Ruth E. Walker's term.
