Comm. 240: RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A (Res. 89-01) DONATION OF SIXTEEN (16) RESCUE TUBES AND SEVEN (7) TRAINING RESCUE BOARDS FOR THE JUNIOR LIFEGUARD TRAINING PROGRAMS (from the Hawaii Lifeguard Association) From Director of Finance William T. Takaba, dated May 29, 2001, transmitting the above-described resolution. The estimated value of the donation is $641.36 for the rescue tubes and $2,442.69 for the rescue boards. Comm. 241: RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A (Res. 90-01) DONATION OF $50 FOR THE PANA`EWA RAINFOREST ZOO (from the Kamehameha Schools' Hamakua preschool facility) From Director of Finance William T. Comm. 246: RESOLUTION CHANGING TIME ELEMENT OF A CLERK- (Res. 94-O1) STENOGRAPHER 1/2T TO 3/4T (in the Office of the Prosecuting Attorney) From Director of Finance William T. Takaba, dated June 6, 2001, transmitting the above-described resolution. The position, which is under the Victim/Witness program, has been given additional hours in order to process an increased volume of work generated by the Federal Violence Against Children (VAC) grant. Although funding for the VAC program will end in July, another federal funding source, Victims of Crime Act (VOCA) will assure continuation of the work. Comm. 247: RESOLUTION CREATING A CLERK II POSITION FOR THE (Res. 95-01) OFFICE OF THE PROSECUTING ATTORNEY From Director of Finance William T. Takaba, dated June 6, 2001, transmitting the above-described resolution, creating a position for the office's Comprehensive Strategy program. The program calls for the inter-agency and community collaboration in addressing issues of prevention, intervention, supervision, treatment and aftercare of juvenile offenders. The position, which will provide the primary clerical support for the program, will be funded by the Federal Juvenile Accountability Incentive Block Grant.
