Dear Chief Bumatay:
Aloha. This is to inform you that your agency has been approved to receive $50,000 from the
Volunteer Fire Assistance grant program offered through the U.S. Forest Service. This grant is a
50% cost-share grant to be used to purchase personal protective equipment and supplies for your
agency. The grant period is from July 1, 2001 through June 30, 2002. All equipment and
supplies must be purchased during this period. All supporting documents of your purchase must
be submitted to this office for reimbursement.
