SUBJECT: TRAFFIC CODE AMENDMENT
KALANIANAOLE STREET: Proposed parking prohibition during certain hours
The Department of Hawaiian Home Lands, East Hawaii District Office, Park Advisory Council
requests that parking be prohibited along Kalanianaole Street fronting the Keaukaha Beach Park.
We investigated this proposal and have no objections.
We ask for your review and consideration for adoption of the subject amendment as described in
the attached draft for an ordinance. Should you have any questions, please contact Richard
Nishimura, Traffic Division Chief, at 961-8341.
A location map is attached.

Subject: No Parking Signs at Keaukaha Beach Park
The Department of Hawaiian Home Lands, East Hawaii District Office, Park Advisory Council
(PAC) is requesting that the County install No Parking signs along Kalanianaole Avenue
fronting I_:::.;''..,:<:.::'<:
Specifically, the signs should state that no parking is allowed between the hours of 10:00 p.m.
and 5:00 a.m. daily and should extend along Kalanianaole Avenue from the old wastewater
treatment plant to Apapane Street.
