SUBJECT: ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 20 OF THE HAWAII COUNTY
CODE, 1983 (1995 EDITION), RELATING TO REFUSE DISPOSAL
Attached is a proposed amendment to Chapter 20, Hawaii County Code to establish a ban
on the disposal of any rubbish, prohibited materials or refuse which has been generated outside
of the County of Hawaii and brought in to the County of Hawaii for disposal in our landfills.
The proposal does not apply to refuse generated on route to the County from any aircraft
or maritime passenger or crew in the course of business.
Please forward a copy of this proposed ordinance to the appropriate committee chair.
