Re: Resolution to Clarify Short Term Investment Types
Enclosed is a resolution clarifying the types of short term investments in which the
Director of Finance may invest County monies. In 1992, the Council gave authorization
on the types of short term investments which may be made, pursuant to Section 46-50
of the Hawaii Revised Statutes. In 1998, Section 46-50 was amended to expand the
list of investment types and its maturity period. We would like to extend the previous
authorization to include the investment types now listed in Section 46-50 as amended in
1998.
