Hawaii County Council 25 Aupuni Street Hilo, Hawaii 96720 Re: Operating Budget Enclosed is a bill for an ordinance amending the Operating Budget by appropriating an additional $28,718 in the Occupant Protection Program. The State of Hawaii Department of Transportation Motor Vehicle Safety Office is providing this grant to reduce traffic fatalities and injuries to all occupants and to increase seatbelt usage. The total grant amount is $28,718 more than what is shown in the current Operating Budget. If there are any questions, please do not hesitate to call the Police Department.
