RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A flAONETARY ®ONATION OF $1,000 TO THE
HAYVAI`I POLICE I~EPARTiVIENT
1NHI=REAS, the Hawaii Police Athletic Federation has donated $1,000 to the Hawaii Police
Department; and
WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter provides that the Council, on
behalf of the County, may accept gifts or donations of personal property; and
dIVHEREAS, the Hawaii Police Department recommends the acceptance of this donation.
NOVIl, THEREFORE, BE iT RESOLVELI SY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAV9IAI`I that in
accordance with Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter, the Council of the County of Hawaii
accepts the $1,000.
13E IT FURTHER RESOLVE® that a letter of appreciation be sent to Mr. Dennis Peterson, President,
Hawaii Police Athletic Federation, P.O. Box 22623, Honolulu, HI 96823, acknowledging this generous
donation.
