The Office of the Prosecuting AL[orney's project, Community Oriented Prosecution
program, has been selected by the Governor's Committee on (~rirne to receive great funding
from the FY 2001 Edward Byrne Memorial State and Local Law Enforceanent Assistance
grant. Receipt of the grant funds is eoatingent on the I~epartnaent of the Attorney CAesaeral
receiving an official award letter from U.S. Iaeparament of Yustice, Bureau of Justice
Assistance, and approval by BJA of ahe Community Prosecution Program. hers we receive
the award letrer, we will be notifying projects that the grant fluids are available.
FY 2001 Byrne futadimg for the Hawaii Gounry Community Oriented Prosecution
program is:

Enclosed is the Applicaat's Manual. In order to expedite the processing of the
