Chung, dated August 1, 2001, transmitting the above resolution for review and approval. The current four-year contract for an independent financial audit of the County's financial statements with KPMG, LLP is in its last year. A four-year contract term is again recommended for purposes of economy, consistency and continuity. FC-17 Aage 2 August 28, 2001 Comm. 292: REPORT ON THE SALE AND ISSUANCE OF COUNTY OF HAWAII, HAWAII, PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT BOND, 2001 SERIES A, MAXIMUM PRINCIPAL AMOUNT OF $1,800,000 (for financing a portion of the cost of constructing the East Hawaii Police Detention Facility From Director of Finance William T. Takaba, dated August 6, 2001, transmitting the above-mentioned report, pursuant to County Council Ordinance No. 00-18. The County has drawn $75,000. Comm. 293: COUNTY OF HAWAII INVENTORY AS OF JUNE 30, 2001 From Director of Finance William Takaba, dated August 8, 2001, transmitting, pursuant to Act 186, Part XII, Section 103D-1208, Hawaii Revised Statutes, a copy of the above inventory, which is on file in the Clerk's Office. Comm. 297: A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN (Res. 109-01) APPROPRIATION OUT AND FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S) AND CREDITING SAME TO A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S)(to transfer $17,500 from the County Clerk's Office, Election Division Miscellaneous Contract Services Account, to Regular S&W Account to pay for the Reapportionment Technician position) From County Clerk Al Konishi, dated August 9, 2001, transmitting the above resolution. Comm. 304: AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 01-55, AS (Bill 90) AMENDED, THE OPERATING BUDGET FOR THE COUNTY OF HAWAII FOR THE FISCAL YEAR ENDING JUNE 30, 2002 (appropriating an additional $2,904 for the Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) Grant) From Director of Finance William Takaba, dated August 6, 2001, transmitting the above bill. The State of Hawaii Department of the Attorney General Crime Prevention and Justice Assistance Division is providing funding to hire a sexual assault nurse examiner coordinator to manage and coordinate this program. The total grant amount is $2,904 more than what is shown in the current Operating Budget. FC-17 Page 3 August 28, 2001 Comm. 305: AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. O1-56, AS (Bi1191) AMENDED, RELATING TO PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS AND FINANCING THEREOF FOR THE FISCAL YEAR JULY 1, 2001 TO JUNE 30, 2002 (appropriating $410,000 for the Puainako Street Extension project due to revised Federal cost estimates for the right-of--way,) From Director of Finance William Takaba, dated August 6, 2001, transmitting the above bill. The total Federal appropriated funds will be increased from $23,000,000 to $23,410,000. Comm. 308: SUPPLEMENTAL SUMMARY OF INDEBTEDNESS OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII AS OF AUGUST 6, 2001 From Director of Finance William T. Takaba, dated August 14, 2001, certifying and transmitting the above summary, in accordance with Section 47C-3, Hawaii Revised Statutes. The closing of the $1,800,000 2001 Series A Public Improvement Bonds on August 6, 2001 requires preparation of this report and is included in this report. Concurrence of the Chairman of the Finance Committee and the Corporation Counsel are also enclosed. Comm. 309: TABULAR SUMMARY OF BONDED INDEBTEDNESS OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII AS OF JUNE 30, 2001 From Director of Finance William T. FC-17 Page 4 August 28, 2001 Comm. 311: RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXTENSION OF SUBLEASE (Res. 112-0 l) AGREEMENT WITH MEN'S SHOP, INC. (for leasing warehouse space of approximately 2,450 square feet at a Makaala Street building by the County Clerk's Office Elections Division) From County Clerk Al Konishi, dated August 8, 2001, transmitting the above resolution. The present leasing contract will expire January 31, 2002. The rent, terms and conditions will remain the same as the Sublease Agreement. Comm. 312: RESOLUTION CLARIFYING THE TYPES OF SHORT TERM (Res. 113-01) INVESTMENTS OF COUNTY MONIES IN ACCORDANCE WITH SECTION 46-50 OF THE HAWAII REVISED STATUTES From Director of Finance William Takaba, dated August 14, 2001, transmitting the above resolution. In 1992, the Council gave authorization on the types of short term investments which may be made, pursuant to Section 46-50 of the Hawaii Revised Statutes. In 1998, Section 46-50 was amended to expand the list of investment types and its maturity period. The County would now like to extend the previous authorization to include the investment types now listed in Section 46-50 as amended in 1998. Comm. 313: AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 01-55, AS (Bill 93) AMENDED, THE OPERATING BUDGET FOR THE COUNTY OF HAWAI I FOR THE FISCAL YEAR ENDING JUNE 30, 2002 (appropriating an additional $28,718 in the Occupant Protection ProgrLam) From Director of Finance William Takaba, dated August 14, 2001, transmitting the above bill. The State of Hawaii Department of Transportation Motor Vehicle Safety Office is providing this grant to reduce traffic fatalities and injuries to all occupants and to increase seatbelt usage. FC-17 Page 5 August 28, 2001 Comm. 314: AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 01-55, AS (Bill 94) AMENDED, THE OPERATING BUDGET FOR THE COUNTY OF HAWAII FOR THE FISCAL YEAR ENDING JUNE 30, 2002 (appropriating a $1,000 monetary donation to the Hawaii Police Department's Administration Division's OCE account, from the Hawaii Police Athletic Federation), and (Res. 114-01) RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A MONETARY DONATION OF $1,000 TO THE HAWAII POLICE DEPARTMENT From Director of Finance William Takaba, dated August 14, 2001 transmitting the above bill and resolution. The donation will be used to defray the cost of sending an officer to the 2001 International Torch Run Conference in Wichita, Kansas.
