While we resiaeet your concern over irapieottenting a more cnenprehensive approach to the height ltnlit discussion in the leiortlt Kona area, we believe this bill is preraatar€ and ov@rly broad. Clearly, North Kung is the anujor area slated for cottttnercisl expansion in West Hawaii. We need to fully utnderstuad the potential growth for the area and pronleote orderly and increaacd density in this reKion versus urban sprawl. Prior to consideration of changes in the zoning code, various coaurat>lnity forums .should discuss height Iitnit restrictions in the context of overall regional growth and enorc focused boundary discussions such as the Kailas Vilia~e area. We look forward to workiu~ with you on this itTtiportant discussion, but reKpectfully realuest the tiling of Aill 81 todsiy. Thank yott for the opportunity to tevtifq. John B.
