Re: Resolution Accepting Donation
Enclosed is a resolution accepting the donation of an adjustable portable basketball
apparatus for the Department of Parks and Recreation's Pi`ihonua Gym. This item is
being donated by the Piopio Bears Athletic Association, P.O. Box 5240, Hilo, Hawaii
96720 and has an estimated value of $140.

To accept a donation of an adjustable portable basketball apparatus for Piihonua
Gym
B. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED):
The Piopio dears Athletic Association would like to donate a portable basket to
the Department of Parks and Recreation that will be used at the Piihonua Gym.
The basket consists of the following; a plastic glass backboard with rim,
adjustable height and a plastic base. It will be used by all 8 and under
basketball teams to enhance the basketball skills of the youth through
organized team practices.
Total value: $140

This is to inform you that the Piopio Bears Athletic Association would like to donate a
portable basket to the Department of Parks and Recreation that will be used at the
Piihonua gym for public use. We would recommend that it be used for children 8 years
and under. Reason, for the safety of the basket.
The basket cost, $140.00. The basket consist of the following, plastic glass backboard
with rim, adjustable height and a plastic base.
