Re: Capital Budget
Enclosed is a bill for an ordinance adding the Volcano Park Multi-purpose Playcourt project
for $81,800 to the Capital Budget. Funds for this project lapsed on June 30, 2001 but work
on this project is still incomplete. Funds must be reappropriated to continue and complete
this project.
If there are any questions, please do not hesitate to call the Department of Parks and
Recreation.

A. REQUEST:
Re-appropriate $81,800.00 from CIP account 5590.25 Volcano Park Multi-purpose
Playcourt Phase II. The appropriation lapsed on June 30, 2001.
B. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED:
The balance of $81,800.00 appropriated and allotted in CIP account 5590.25 for Volcano
Park Multi-purpose Playcourt, Phase II, lapsed on June 30, 2001. Work on the project is
not complete, and re-appropriation of $81,800.00 is needed to fund completion of the
project.
Change orders for approximately $48,000.00 that could not be processed by June 30,
2001 are pending. The additional funding is needed to purchase materials for the
community volunteers to complete the restrooms, storage, and police substation.
