Dear Councilman Arakaki and Members of the County Council:
Enclosed for your review and approval is a resolution transferring/appropriating funds out
and from the Clerk-Councils' account and crediting same to Election Division's accounts as
follows:
Amount of Appropriation: $12,625.83
Out And From: 010-101-5101.02-115 Legislative External Audit: $12,625.83
Credited To: 010-107-5107.02-229 Election Division-OCE->3uilding
~r Construction Materials: $ 5,000.00
010-107-5107.02-102 Election Division-OCE-Telephone: $ 7,625.83
Its purpose is to provide funds for the relocation of Elections into a portion of the former
Department of Water Supply Space. An additional conference room door ($5,000.00) is
being requested to allow for voter circulation during the absentee voting period. A telephone
system ($7,625.83) is being installed to replace the current antiquated system.

Re: Resolution No. 123 - O l relating to the transferring/appropriating of funds for
Elections.
Pursuant to Section 1(e) of Rule 4 of the Rules of Procedure of the Council, of the
County of Hawaii, this written request is submitted with my approval that the above
referenced matter be waived from the Committee on Finance to the full council for
immediate action. In reviewing this matter, timely approval is crucial. It is therefore
advantageous that approval is granted and the matter placed onto the next Council agenda
for review. However, in the event this request is denied, for whatever reason, I
understand the matter shall be referred to the Committee on Finance for placement on its
future agenda.
