Comm. 306: AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 20 OF THE
(Bill 92) HAWAI`1 COUNTY CODE 1983 (1995 EDITION), RELATING TO
REFUSE DISPOSAL, TO PROHIBIT THE COMMERCIAL
DISPOSAL AT COUNTY SOLID WASTE FACILITIES OF REFUSE
IMPORTED FROM OUTSIDE THE COUNTY OF HAWAII
(Establishes a ban on the disposal of any rubbish, prohibited materials or
refuse which has been generated outside of the County of Hawaii and
brought in to the County of Hawaii for disposal in our landfills)
From Dennis K. W. Lee, P. E., Director, Department of Public Works,
dated August 9, 2001, transmitting the above bill. Informs this proposal
does not apply to refuse generated on route to the County from any
aircraft or maritime passenger or crew in the course of business.
