Torigoe, Deputy Corporation Counsel, dated August 27, 2001, transmitting the above resolution and dedication deed, which has been reviewed by the Department of Public Works, Department of Water Supply and the Planning Department, which have all recommended its acceptance. PW&IRC-15 Page 2 September 11, 2001 Comm. 294: AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 24, OF THE (Bill 85) HAWAII COUNTY CODE 1983 (1995 EDITION), RELATING TO VEHICLES AND TRAFFIC (Proposes parking be prohibited along Kalanianaole Street fronting the Keaukaha Beach Park between the hours of 10:00 p.m. and 5 a.m. daily) From Acting Deputy Director Galen Kuba, Department of Public Works, dated August 2, 2001, transmitting the above bill, per request of the Department of Hawaiian Home Lands, East Hawaii District Office, Park Advisory Council. Comm. 318: CONCERNS OF THE PRIVATE TAXI OPERATORS REGARDING THE HELE-ON BUS OPERATION SERVICES TO THE WHARF AND AIRPORT AREAS From Eddie Tamayo, Taxi Driver, dated August 19, 2001, submitting concerns of the taxi drivers regarding the above subject matter. Comm. 318.1: From Merle Martin, Center for Independent Living-West Hawaii, dated August 28, 2001, stating the importance of having both the taxi industry and the public transportation system serving different markets at the airport. Further, asks the Council to look into the matter of promoting the use of the Hele-On system, which he feels Mass Transit has not had sufficient funding to properly advertise and promote its use.
