Dear Councilman Tyler
I am sure you are aware of the current proposal to
provide bus service to the airport. This service is
desperately needed and desired by residents and
visitors. We are frequently asked about buses to the
airport at the information booth on Kailua Pier. Most
visitors are very surprized to learn there are none.
Everyone I talked to was excited and wanted more
information on the proposed service.
I think it is shameful that the taxi drivers are only
looking at their own pockets and not the community
benefit to oppose this.
Please don't let these few prevent a needed community
service. For people using wheelchairs and needing
lift-equipped service, the taxis provide no option
here.
