RE: Resolution No. 12 7 - O 1 Relating to the Terrorist Attacks Against The United
States of America.
Pursuant to Section 1(g) of Rule 4 of the Rules of Procedure of the Council of the County of
Hawaii, this written request is submitted with my approval that the above-referenced matter be
waived from the Committee on Finance to the full Council for immediate action. In reviewing
this matter, timely approval is crucial. It is therefore advantageous that approval is granted and
the matter placed onto the next Council agenda for review. However, in the event this request is
denied, for whatever reason, I understand the matter shall be referred to the Committee on
Finance for placement on its future agenda.

RE: Attached Resolution
Attached you will find for Council approval a resolution condemning the cowardly acts
of terrorism perpetrated against the United States of America; supporting the President of
the United States in his efforts to thwart further attacks and to bring those responsible for
these acts of war to justice; expressing condolences to the loved ones of those who
perished; and expressing appreciation to the public health and safety employees who
work so diligently.
I respectfully request that this measure by waived to full Council.
