RE: Yost Harvest Treatment Facility
Written Testimony
Dear Council Members:
Z wish to add my testimony to those persons and groups
supporting a Post Harvest Treatment Facility for the County of
Hawaii. I have no particular political ax to grind and am fairly
apolitical. I watch year after year as our economy stagnates.
There is no industry and agriculture appears to be the future of
the island economy. I sure don't see industry Coming here or
taking us Seriously!
I think it is important that local government take Steps to
facilitate the creation of new jobs and to expand the economy.
Such a facility, in the long run, would allow us to move fruit
off island and develop mainland/overseas markets.
You can build in sufficient controls to be sure the
investment is economically sound one but don't kill it.
