Your Committee on Public Works and Intergovernmental Relations, to which was referred
Communication No. 288 and attached Resolution No. 107-01, reports as follows:
Communication No. 288, dated August 2, 2001, is from Deputy Corporation Counsel Ivan M. Torigoe
transmitting for Council's review and consideration Resolution No. 107-O1 authorizing the acceptance and
dedication of Road Lot B from Albert Tebo; Mayedel Gay Hill; Dale Anthony Da Silva; Gerane Dell
Mangin; and Lynda Lorette Larsen; in Ka`auhuhu Homesteads, Ka`auhuhu, North Kohala, and identified
as Tax Map Keys (3) 5-5-002:12 and 115. Letters from the Planning Department, Water Department, and
Public Works Department attesting to the completion of required improvements are also attached to
Communication No. 288.
Resolution No, 107-O1 states that above mentioned individuals have constructed all subdivision
improvements and have received final subdivision approval. In addition, the resolution also states that the
subject road is in acceptable condition for dedication and is in full compliance with the provisions of
Chapter 22 of the Hawaii County Code. Exhibit A (the dedication deed) and Exhibit B (a map further
delineating road parcel) are also attached to the resolution.
h~ discussion, Council member Tyler suggested that the Office of the Corporation Counsel amend both
the resolution and dedication deed to include the appropriate diacriticals for the word Ka`auhuhu.
Your Committee is in accordance with the purpose and intent of Resolution No. 107-01, as amended to
Draft 2, and recommends its adoption.
