Your Committee on Finance, to Ihich was referred Resolution No. 114-01, reports as follows:
Resolution No. 114-01, transmitt d jointly with Bill No. 94 by Director of Finance
William Takaba, via Communica ion No. 314, dated August 14, 2001, authorizes the acceptance
of a donation from the Hawaii P lice Athletic Federation.
Hawaii Police Athletic Federatio has graciously donated $1,000.00 to the Hawaii Police
Department to be used to defray t e cost of sending an officer to the 2001 International Torch
Run Conference in Wichita, Kan as.
Pursuant to Article XIII, Section 3-12, Hawaii County Charter, the Council, on behalf of the
County, may accept gifts or Bona ions of personal property.
A letter of appreciation will be se t to Mr. Dennis Peterson, President, Hawaii Police Athletic
Federation, P.O. Box 22623, Ho olulu, Hawaii 96823, acknowledging this generous donation.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Resolution No. 114-01
and recommends its adoption.
