Subject: Amendment to Chapter 2, Article 2, Section 2-6, Hawaii County Code
Dear Chairman Arakaki and Council Members:
Attached for your consideration is a bill proposing an amendment to Chapter 2, Article 2,
Section 2-6 of the Hawaii County Code to delete reference to the Safety Coordinator. The
bill was prepared by the Office of the Corporation Counsel. This amendment will bring the
Code into conformance with the Charter of the County of Hawai` i as amended by the voters in
November, 2000 (Charter Amendment 6).
