Your Committee on Public Works and Intergovernmental Relations, to which was referred Communication No. 274 and
attached Resolution No. 101-O1, reports as follows:
Communication No. 274 dated July 18, 2001, is from Deputy Corporation Counsel Ivan Torigoe, transmitting for
Council's review and consideration, Resolution No. 101-01, authorizing the County of Hawai`i's acceptance and
dedication of Road Lot "A", Road "A" Extension along with drainage improvements, including signs, markings and
streetlights, from Central Kona Land, LLC, and specifically identified as Tax Map Key (3) 8-1-31:10, located in the Hale
Ke`eke`e Subdivision in South Kona, Hawaii. Letters from the Planning Department, Water Department, and Public
Works Department supporting the acceptance of the subject roadways and related improvements are also attached to
Communication No. 274.
Resolution No. 101-O1 states that the owner, Central Kona Land, LLC, a Hawaii limited liability company has
constructed all subdivision improvements and received final subdivision approval. In addition, the resolution also states
that the subject road parcels and drainage improvements are in acceptable condition for dedication and in full compliance
with the provisions of Chapter 23 of the Hawaii County Code. Exhibit A, the dedication deed and Exhibit B, a map
further delineating the parcel, are also attached to the resolution.
Communication No. 274. I is from the Office of the Corporation Counsel requesting that both Communication No. 274
and Resolution No. 101-01 be withdrawn from the Committee. The Committee concurred with this request and voted to
file this matter.
Your Committee on Public Works and Intergovernmental Relations is not in accord with the purpose and intent of
Resolution No. 101-O1 and recommends it be filed.
