Your Committee on Public Works and Intergovernmental Relations, to which was referred Communication No. 274.2 and
attached Resolution No. 1 18-01, reports as follows:
Communication No. 274.2, dated August 27, 2001, is from Deputy Corporation Counsel Ivan Torigoe, transmitting for
Council's review and consideration, Resolution No. 118-O1, authorizing the County of Hawai`i's acceptance and
dedication of Road Lot "A", Road "A" Extension along with drainage improvements, including signs, markings and
streetlights, from Central Kona Land, LLC, and specifically identified as Tax Map Key (3) 8-1-31:10, located in the Hale
Ke`eke`e Subdivision in South Kona, Hawaii. Letters from the Planning Department, Water Department, and Public
Works Department supporting the acceptance of the subject roadways and related improvements are also attached to
Communication No. 274.2.
Resolution No. 1 18-0 l states that the owner, Central Kona Land, LLC, a Hawai` i limited liability company has
constructed all subdivision improvements and received final subdivision approval. In addition, the resolution also states
that the subject road parcels and drainage improvements are in acceptable condition for dedication and in full compliance
with the provisions of Chapter 23 of the Hawaii County Code. Exhibit A, the dedication deed and Exhibit B, a map
further delineating the parcel, are also attached to the resolution.
On July 18, 2001, the Office of the Corporation Counsel transmitted a letter and resolution of the same content. At the
request of the Office of the Corporation Counsel, these items identified as Communication No. 274 and Resolution
No. 101-O1, were withdrawn and filed on August 1, 2001. Communication No. 274.2 and Resolution 118-O1 were
considered in place of these original correspondences.
Your Committee on Public Works and Intergovernmental Relations is in accord with the purpose and intent of Resolution
No. 1 18-0 l and recommends its adoption.
