Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution No. 122-01, reports as follows:
Resolution No. 122-01, transmitted by Director of Finance William Takaba, via Communication
No. 328, dated August 28, 2001, amends Ordinance No. 01-59, the Salary Ordinance, to correct
the annual salary rates and to delete the hourly rates for members of the County Bands, to
increase the salary scale of the MH-4 and MH-5 class, and to increase the compensation for the
Hawaii County Band Director.
Pursuant to Article 3, Section 3-13, Hawaii County Charter, interim amendments to the
Ordinance establishing the pay plan for the County may be by resolution of the Council provided
a revised Salary Ordinance is enacted at least once annually.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purposes and intent of Resolution No. 122-01
and recommends its adoption.
