Dear Chairman Arakaki and Council Members:
It is my pleasure to nominate Mr. John Joseph Langenstein of Council District 7
to the Hawaii County Board of Appeals. Mr. Langenstein has lived in Hawaii for
more than 25 years and is aself-employed coffee farmer and processor. His
community service record includes being a founding member of the Kona
Farmers Alliance, past vice president of the Kona Coffee Council, past vice
president of the Kona County Farm Bureau and a past coach for the American
Youth Soccer League. Mr. Langenstein states that he is not affiliated with any
political party. If confirmed, he will serve a term to expire on December 31, 2005.
