Dear Mr. Kaizuka,
June T. Kunimoto, District Health Administrator of the Hawaii District Health Office, has
informed my office that you can provide a briefing on the current outbreak of dengue fever and
various mosquito control measures to prevent the transmission of this viral disease to the Hawaii
County Council on October 23, 2001.
Accordingly, I wish to invite you to present to the Human Services and Economic Development
Committee(HSEDC) on October 23rd at 3:00 p.m. in the Councilroom at the County Building.
An informative presentation to Council members and the public access television viewing
public would be a timely benefit to people throughout Hawaii County. Please coordinate
arrangements with Rory Flynn, HSEDC committee clerk, at 961-8564 and let us know if you will
need any audio-visual aids for your presentation.
A letter of reply confirming your scheduled presentation may be faxed to 961-8572 to facilitate
our posted agenda.
I welcome your willingness to assist the Council and the public to respond effectively to this
public health concern.
