Re: Resolution Accepting Donation
Enclosed is a resolution accepting a donation of $3,000 to help cover most of the cost of
the ballroom rental for the Hawaii Kupuna Hula Festival, held at the King
Kamehameha's Kona Beach Hotel on September 12-13, 2001. This donation was
made by the Kuki`o Resorts, P.O. Sox 5349, Kailua-Kona, Hawaii 96745.

Recreation.

A. REQUEST:
To accept and acknowledge a donation in the amount of $3,000 for the Hawaii
Kupuna Hula festival
B. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDEDI:
Kuki'o Resorts has presented the Slderly Activities Division with a check for
$3,000. (Kuki'o resorts owns a private residential club community on the
Kohala Coast adjacent to the four Seasons Resort Hualalai.) Council action is
being requested to accept the donation. The donation will be used to cover
most of the cost of the ballroom rents! for the Hawaii Kupuna Hula festival,
held at the King Kamehameha's Kona Seach Hotel on September 12 and 13.
The total cost of the ballroom rental for two days amounted to $3,124.80.
