WHEREAS, the Kuki`o Resorts has donated $3,000 to the Elderly Activities Division of the Department
of Parks & Recreation, to help cover most of the cost of the ballroom rental for the Hawaii Kupuna Hula
Festival, held on September 12-13, 2001; and
WFI~Ft1=AS, Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter provides that the Council, on
behalf of the County, may accept gifts or donations of personal property; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks & Recreation recommends the acceptance of this donation.
NOW, TFIEREFORE, IgE iT RESOLVED 6Y THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF t~AWAI`I that in
accordance with Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter, the Council of the County of Hawaii
accepts this donation.
