RESOLUTION AUTHORISING `THE ACCEPTANCE O~ A DONATION O~ A IlIIINIVAN TO °THIs
ELDERLY ACTIVITIES DIVISION'S COORDINATED SERVICES PROGRAMI
WHEREAS, the Estate of Mr. Jack C. Fuller would like to donate a minivan and supply its fuel and
maintenance needs during its first year to the Elderly Activities Division's Coordinated Services Program of the
Department of Parks & Recreation; and
WHEREAS, the minivan will be used in Ocean View to provide seniors with local transportation to their
medical appointments; and
WHEREAS, this donation has a total estimated value of $25,000; and
WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter provides that the Council, on
behalf of the County, may accept gifts or donations of personal property; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks & Recreation recommends the acceptance of this donation.
NOW, THE~E~ORE, 131 IT RESOL.VIM® BY T#~E COUNCIL OF 'THE COUNTY OF HA9IVAI`I that in
accordance with Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter, the Council of the County of Hawaii
accepts this donation.
BE iT FURTFI'ER RESOLVE® that a letter of appreciation be sent to Mr. Walter B. Fisher, Executor,
Estate of Mr. Jack C. Fuller, P. O. Sox 6051, Ocean View, Hawaii 96737-6051, acknowledging this most
generous donation.
