WHEREAS, the Big Island Interscholastic Federation has donated an Elkay wheelchair accessible, wall
mounted water cooler to the Department of Parks and Recreation; and
WHEREAS, the water cooler, with an estimated value of $456.30, will be placed in the lobby of the
Afook-Chinen Civic Auditorium for the public's use; and
WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter provides that the Council, on
behalf of the County, may accept gifts or donations of personal property; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks & Recreation recommends the acceptance of this donation.

accordance with Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter, the Council of the County of Hawaii
accepts this donation.
BE iT FURTHER RES®LVED that a letter of appreciation be sent to Mr. Roy H. Fujimoto, Executive
Director, Big Island Interscholastic Federation, P.O. Box X160, Hilo, Hawaii 96720, acknowledging this
generous donation.
