SUBJECT: Committee Reassignment of Telephone Conference Call with NACA Study Team
Resolution No. 49-01 specified: "Subsequent to completion of the work required, the Contractor shall, as
part of the contract, be available for a telephone conference call with the Council's Committee on Finance
to discuss the findings and recommendations contained in the evaluation and to answer questions
pertaining thereto."
However, pursuant to discussion with the Chair, Hawaii County Council, referral for committee
consideration of the Independent Evaluation of the Animal Control Program of the County of Hawai 'i by
the National Animal Control Association transmitted by Legislative Auditor Connie Kiriu
(Communication No. 376) on October 9, 2001 will betaken up by the Committee on Human Services and
Economic Development on November 6, 2001.
Accordingly, and with the concurrence of the undersigned, a telephone conference call with members of
the NACA study team will be conducted during the scheduled meeting of the Human Services and
Economic Development Committee on November 6, 2001, rather than the Finance Committee. Upon
completion of the November 6, 2001 teleconference among NACA staff and members of the Council's
Human Services and Economic Development Committee, the requirement of the contractor (NACA)
pursuant to the RFP specification cited above wi satisfied.
