Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill No. 104, reports as follows:
Bill No. 104, transmitted by Director of Finance William Takaba, via Communication No. 346,
dated September 11, 2001, amends Ordinance No. 01-55, as amended, the Operating Budget,
ending June 30, 2002. The amendment is as follows:

3302.80 Federal Grants -Public Housing Drug General $50,000
Prevention Grant
To:
010-201-5219.85 Public Housing Drug Prevention Grant General $50,000
These funds will be used to help defray personnel and equipment costs for community policing
officers with their proactive crime and drug prevention programs. Programs affected are in the
Ka Hale Kahalu`u, Kaimalino, and Kealakehe public housing areas and other neighboring
communities.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Bill No. 104 and
recommends it pass first reading.
