RE: PURCHASE OF STEPS FOR KAWAMOTO SWIM STADIUM
Dear Chairman Arakaki:
Thank you, for taking the time from your busy schedule to talk story with
me. I appreciate your suggestions and I will check with my doctor at my
next appointment. We sure did cover a lot of subjects, many of which
directly affect my abode here in Keaukaha. My husband and I have truly
been blessed ever since 1991, when we decided to make Hilo our home.
As you suggested, I've addressed a letter to Ms. Pamela Mizuno and I have
enclosed a copy for your records. I've also decided to send a copy to our
Honorable Mayor Harry Kim, my Councilman Aaron Chung, and the Parks
and Recreation managing directors. I hope this will keep everyone abreast of
my intentions.
If there is any other way in which I can be of service or display my support
for you and your efforts, please contact me.

RE: PU~dCI(~SE OF STEPS FO>Eb ~W.~1bIOT0 S~3'IM STADIUIIR
Dear Ms. Mizuno:
This letter is being submitted to confirm my intentions to purchase an Easy Ladder, a
handicap swimming pool access step for the Kawamoto Swim Stadium. The Easy Ladder
will be purchased through Recreonics. The sales representative, Mr. Keith Kaelin
(pronounced Kay lyn} will be assisting me with the order, processing, and shipment.
This afternoon, I had the opportunity to speak with Chairman James Arakaki of the
County Council. He has assured me that there will be no problems for the county to
accept the steps as a donation. He has suggested that a stipulation be included in the
resolution that the steps will be purchased solely for the Kawamoto Swim Stadium. The
steps will be custom-made to fit the specifications of the pool.
As soon as Mr. Kaelin receives your fax containing the information he requested, he will
give me a final proposal as to the price and shipping fees. I am still considering the
purchase of a maximum weight capacity of 600 pounds. If you have any questions or
need further information, please feel free to contact me at the above address, phone
number, or email.
Sincerely yours,
Rose K. Ha'o
