Curtis Tyler, III, dated October 24, 2001, responding to Council Chairman Arakaki's memorandum of October 2, 2001, for written proposals/bills for the upcoming 2002 State Legislature. Transmits (I) copies of bills presently proposed for adoption by the Hawaii State Association of Counties (HSAC); (2) several bills proposed by Kauai County and Maui County; and (3) a draft letter to State legislative leaders prepared by the four Counties' HSAC Officers consideration by the Executive Committee of HSAC. Comm. 397: AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 24, OF THE HAWAII (Bill 122) COUNTY CODE 1983 (1995 EDITION), RELATING TO VEHICLES AND TRAFFIC (Traffic Code Amendment -Honaunau Beach Road: (I) Proposed 15 MPH Speed Limit; (2) Proposed One-Way Traffic Pattern; and (3) Proposed No Parking Zones) From Dennis Lee, Director, Department of Public Works, dated October 12, 200], transmitting the above bill per request from the residents of Honaunau Bay in cooperation with the Kona Traffic Safety Committee for various traffic code amendments to improve traffic flow and pedestrian safety for residents and tourists. Informs the Kona Police Department concurs with these proposals. BRILHANTE SELF-DIRECTED IRA UNDER AGREEMENT DATED FEBRUARY 16, 1995, SITUATE AT WAIAKEA, DISTRICT OF SOUTH HILO, COUNTY AND STATE OF HAWA[`[, TAX MAP KEY (3)2-2-035:091 ~POR.), TO THE COUNTY OF HAWAII From Ivan M. Torigoe, Deputy Corporation Counsel, dated October 19, 2001, transmitting the above resolution and dedication deed, which has been reviewed by the Department of Public Works, Department of Water Supply and the Planning Department, which have all recommended its acceptance. All subdivision improvements have been completed. Comm. 404: RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE DEDICATION OF 10-FOOT ROAD (Res. 142-O1) WIDENING PARCELS WITH ROADWAY AND DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS FROM H. SHIROMA, INC., SITUATE AT WAIAKEA, DISTRICT OF SOUTH HILO, COUNTY AND STATE OF HAWAII, TAX MAP KEYS (3)2-2-39: PORTIONS OF 66, 67, 68 AND 69, TO THE COUNTY OF HAWAII From Ivan M.
