HAMAKUA DIVERSIFIED AGRICULTURAL ASSOCIATION, DBA THE
O'OKALA COMMUNITY CENTER AND PLANTATION MARKETPLACE (for the
development of amulti-purpose center to include a community center, post office and amulti-use
production facility for farmers artists crafts people and other producers of local roducts)

Comm. 383: RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A MONETARY DONATION
(Res. 137-01) OF $3,000 TO THE DEPARTMENT OF PARKS AND RECREATION (donated by the
Kuki'o Resorts)

resolution. The donation of $3,000 will help cover most of the cost of the ballroom rental for the
Hawaii Kupuna Hula Festival, which was held at the King Kamehameha's Kona Beach Hotel on
September 12-13, 2001.

(Res. 139-01) LEASE OF REAL PROPERTY ADJACENT TO ONEKAHAKAHA BEACH PARK TO HE
OLA HOU O KE KUMU NIU (to develop a Hawaiian Cultural Center that will be used for public
education and display)

resolution. This facility will also be used to teach healthy life skills and ways of interaction
through Hawaiian cultural practices and to instill mental, physical and spiritual well-being within
the Hawaiian community, family and individuals.
