Re: NACA Pro~ratn evaluation Report
Fear C'hairn~an Arakaki and Council leiembers:
I have reviewed the evaluation report dated June 20C l . 1 arri against placing the responsibility
of animal control under our alccady busy and stressed police department. i feel t}tat it would
detrset from thee' utiportant job of policing our island and their response to emergency
situations. 1t would also burden dispatchers.
I am in agreement with the formation of an Animal Advisory hoard.
Again, 1 do not feel that the problems of H1HS should be placed with Hawaii County Police
l~epartmcs~t and urge you to think of ether altemativys,
Sincerely,
