November 7, 1989, informing that Puukala and Makaula,
known as Makaula Subdivision and Kona Ocean View
Properties, which have approximately 60 families living
there, do not have the basic necessity of county water
to their homes. States they are located close to
county water but that the pressure in the water lines
is not strong enough to reach the approximately
one-half mile needed. Suggests a solution may be found
in a proposal to locate a well site mauka of Mamalahoa
Highway and that Huehue Ranch land is the ideal site
for a mauka well to facilitate their two isolated
subdivisions.

of Bill 14, which addresses the concerns raised in

provisions relating to mountain access for hiking,
hunting, fruit-picking, ti-leaf sliding and other
recreational purposes which is also required by
Chapter 46-6.5, HRS, and that it is their understanding
that such access would be addressed at a later time.
