Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill No. 125, reports as follows:
Bill No. 125, transmitted by Director of Finance William Takaba, via Communication No. 401,
dated October 12, 2001, amends Ordinance No. 01-56, as amended, the Capital Budget ending
June 30, 2002, by adding the following project:
PARKS & RECREATION:
La`aloa Bay Beach Park Improvements 110-599-5597.86 $150,000
Funds for this project shall be provided from general obligation bonds, capital projects fund-fund
balance and/or other sources.
Funds will be used for the construction of parking facilities and pedestrian pathways,
preservation of archaeological features, landscaping, and other improvements which will
alleviate a potential fugitive dust problem, improve accessibility and improve the overall
function and appearance of the park.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Bill No. 125 and
recommends it pass first reading.
