RE: COUNTY FUAIDS TO PROMOTE THE FgOp IRRADIATION TREATMENT FACILITY
Dear Council Membero:
I am in the process of putchasittg several large parcels of firm Iand in PapaBtou; that means I am bringing my saving
from the mainland in order to pow a much desired and perfectly suited variety of erotic fruit crops, primarily
rembutan and lychee.
I have bem uupircd by the efforts of several farmtsrs in the area who have pioneered and successfidly harvested
papaya, lychee rarobutza, Tongan end other varietis9 of exotic fruits; I believe that these wondettirlly firsh gown
fruits should be shipped to the US mainland to meet the demand of ethnic groups fimilisr with the lrtrits and others
who wtll soon discover than
1 strongly support the building of en irradiation plant is I hope aIl the rrnrncil rttembazs will support this much
needed facility as it wdl raise hopes for the entire islands population as all the idlc farmland cmt be used for the ne°w
econa~ceUy viable specialty crops Pug people to work and allowing all to be part ofa prosperous new industry.
Tfie beauty about all this is that also Ildo will becoox a leads for post harvest processing and shipping for firth
commodities, main its gees space aad rural life style, and will cootiwe to be a great place for all the peopk's
mjoymem of the island.
Sinceer~ely,
