However during that time man~tougho decisions had to be made to insure a future for both diversified farming and my family. We on the big island now face a tough decision in regards to the Food Irradiator platrt. MY FAMILY AND I STRONGLY SUPPORT THIS PLANT BEING BU1LT. After reading all data and listening to the Community forum our minds were made up. Both my wife and I are UH college graduates in Agriculture, and 1 have also worked with the USDA-ARS who does the commodity research on fruit fly disinfestation_ Food irradiation is the wave of the future for our world and once well informed consumers are given a choice IRRADIATED FOOD WII.L BE CHOSEN for its safety relative to minimum risk to both man and the enviroment. We S"TRONGLY URGE OUR CTTX COUNCIL TO SUPPORT THE MAYOR IN HIS EFFORT WITH Resolution for a bill # 62, and Ordinance #966$. (Ls c~wt~,K.c~2d Mahalo~., - ~ Thomas D. Menezes N:~,.:v~,. F G lP~yy kac.
