Comments: I support the Mayor's request to increase the minimum property tax.
We are long time Hilo residents who also own vacant land in Hawaiian Paradise Park. The
minimum tax we pay on that property does not equal the fair "value" of services we receive...even
for vacant land!
Last year I wrote to you folks in support of this same/similar proposal and feel it is important
that it be acted on now.
It's fair, it's equitable and it's time we did it!
