Re: Capitall3udget
Enclosed is a bill for an ordinance adding the Miloli`i beach Park Improvement project for
$66,846 to the Capital Budget. Lapsed funds from prior appropriations will be used to fund
this reappropriation. A State Department of Health grant for wastewater system
upgrading wil# also be used to supplement this reappropriation. This project will bring the
park's restroom up to current building code, health regulations, and accessibility
requirements.

REQUEST:
CIP reappropriation ($66,846.00), entitled Milolii Beach Park, to
undertake wastewater disposal system and accessibility improvements.
BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION:
The improvement project will bring the park's restroom up to current
building code, health regulations, and accessibility requirements.
A State Department of Health grant for wastewater system upgrading
at Paauilo Park, Ho'okena Beach, Kolekole Park, and Milolii Beach will be
used to supplement this reappropriation.
Lapsed funds from the prior appropriation (Ordinance No. 99-31) will
be used to fund this reappropriation. A supplemental appropriation of
$50,000.00 was also approved via Ordinance No. 99-163.
